CONTRACT FOR RAILWAY RESCUE CRANE MULTI TASKER 1210 N SIGNED IN INDONESIA

09.11.2015

The Indonesian Ministry for Transport will further enlarge its fleet of railway cranes. In the near future, a Multi Tasker 1210 N will support the two Multi Tasker 800 N, that had been delivered in 2004, with the fast and effective railway rescue service. However, the prompt service of the cranes can’t be assured in all parts of the biggest Southeast Asian country as its surface covers 17.508 islands that are not connected by a common railway network. According to the Minister for Transport, the main islands Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi and New Guinea shall thus be equipped with one railway rescue crane per island for the prompt rescue service of derailed rolling stock. The requirements concerning the new Multi Tasker 1210 N are much higher compared to those to the 800 N: the Techne state-of-the-art technology corresponds to the highest standards which are the telescopic counterweight and the superelevation compensation. Techne has already delivered similar cranes to customers in Japan and China. The decisive advantage for the Indonesian customer is the load moment that is 50 % higher for the new crane than for the smaller model. Techne is the only producer who is able to deliver cranes with this load moment for narrow gauges and under four meters of height.
