SLAG TAURUS P 50 FOR MEXICO

15.03.2016

A new steel mill is going into operation in the middle of 2016 in Garcia, in the Northern Mexican state of New Leon, near Monterrey. It is being built by local company FRISA Industrias S.A. de C.V. Techne was awarded the order over the competition with its Slag Taurus P 50 given its advantages in operational safety as well as compactness and manoeuvrability of the vehicle and gained SMS-FOREMEX S. de R.L. de C.V. as a new customer. Scrap Metal Services LLC (SMS) hails from the USA and is already a well-known reliable partner in scrap handling in North America. SMS founded a joint venture with Grupo BSV to form local FOREMEX to handle the slag transport at FRISA, which resulted in Techne supplying the first slag transporter to Mexico. The Slag Taurus P 50 has a maximum payload of 50 tonnes and a dead weight of approx. 45 tonnes, which is one of the smaller transporters from Techne's product palette. In the area of safety and reliability, it lacks in nothing compared to its bigger colleagues. Like all Techne vehicles, the Slag Taurus P 50 offers a comprehensive and coherent safety concept sought after by its peers.
